Somiatry is a word made out of two words: Soma - body and iatrics - pertaining to healing and the works of healers and physicians. Somiatrists facilitate healing by directly working with the body. This specialty-training program offers comprehensive training in the fundamental ways of working with and analyzing the body by means of manipulation of the various parts of the body itself to facilitate the physis process. Studies include the various forms of deep tissue and structural manipulation, aromatherapy etc. Studies within the Somiatry Institute focus on four fundamental areas of study: Craniopathy, Vertebrology, Kinesiology and Reflexology with special emphasis on the neurolymphatic and neurovascular systems.
